Camila is a political journalist for CNN, covering national politics, Congress, and the White House. Each day, she blends broadcast, digital and print storytelling to break down complex political developments and explain how decisions in Washington impact communities across the country.

When she is not in DC, she is often traveling across the country to report on political issues and key campaign races to watch.

Prior to CNN, she worked at The Washington Post where she covered national politics and Congress. Before The Post she was a political reporter for Business Insider where she reported on Congress, political campaigns and legal affairs since 2021.

At Insider, Camila was part of the team behind Conflicted Congress, an investigative project that revealed how numerous members of Congress faced potential conflicts of interest tied to their investments and stock trades. The series prompted lawmakers to introduce multiple bills aimed at banning individual stock trading and earned a 2022 Sunshine Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

In addition to her reporting, Camila has spent several months teaching a graduate-level investigative journalism course at New York University.
